I think beavers are totally underrated as far as rodent characters go. They're pretty good.

I put the accurate Tetris Attack physics from colour_thief's solver into NetPuzzleArena as another game type.

I still have some things to fix but it's 95% there and it feels great being a lot closer to the dream of an accurate no-lag multiplayer Tetris Attack/Puzzle League.

It's actually weird laying down -not- next to a plush a lot of the time now. It's just a lot more comfortable being able to cuddle something and show affection, even if it's one-way?

I just voted and there wasn't any line. Doing it at a random point in the afternoon has always worked well for me in that regard.

Transformation shitpost/joke

Okay it may be because I've been a kettle before but it's hard to look at this and not immediately think "inanimate TF"

novasquirrel.com/dl/NetPuzzleA Here's the most recent Windows build. It should be very easy to build from source on Linux (which is also included).

Most games included don't do anything yet but "Puzzle Frenzy" (Puzzle League), "Avalanche" (Puyo), and "Pillars" (Columns) are all mostly there.

Anyone wanna playtest my Puzzle League implementation and see how it feels compared to the real thing? I can upload a build somewhere.

Mostly I wanna nail down any final remaining differences with how chains work and having more eyes on it would probably help a bit.

The most terrible, most tempting button of all to press on someone else's car is the "M" button by the clock, that increments the minutes and must now be pressed exactly 59 more times to fix it.

Despite filters lacking some granularity I'm gonna give them a try and see if they improve the Mastodon experience for me.

I love how silly and absurd story modes in puzzle games tend to be. "Oh no you've beaten me at Tetris so you've now saved the world, somehow"

Pixel arted a Nova, not 100% sure it's done but I like the head at least. Inspiration was mostly taken from the kinda small versions of characters you usually have facing each other in an action puzzle game like Puzzle League.

I feel like playing around with pixel art again so I'll do that. Got some inspiration I need to unleash.

I kinda wish Mastodon filters were more specific, so you could have them apply only to CWs or only to post text, and most importantly include/exclude specific people. Maybe that's possible with a script client-side?

Squirrel Girl graphic novel spoilers

I just finished the graphic novel and I actually cried at the climax because I care about the characters that much and seeing them almost die in a really intense scene tore me up. It was absolutely full of emotion and was very well-written.

How about we extrapolate and have a game for every single anagram of "Undertale" so eventually we get a game named "Elder Tuna" and then at the very end just release Undertale again exactly as-is under the name "Unaltered"

Tomorrow I will finally be current on Squirrel Girl and I'll stop staying up so late reading. Hopefully. Worst case scenario I've got like 10 more Warrior Cats books hahaha.

Potential Squirrel Girl spoilers?

Squirrel Girl was scarily relatable for me right up until an issue that involved her trying a dating site and going on dates with boys, but then that completely fell apart because that sort of approach doesn't work for someone like her.

Reminded me of my own problems when I tried those until I met Lia.

If I ever DM a tabletop RPG I'll have a map of the local zoo out and look completely ridiculous but then it'll turn out I am in fact 100% serious.

You've got a neat little world split up into a few distinct biomes and it could work. Kinda.

How about the ability to put a CW on a CW so you just have to click through 100 warnings to finally read the post? It's not like it's completely annoying when people abuse collapses to do that elsewhere :p

Laptop's been running into a problem where WiFi doesn't work sometimes after restoring after a hibernation, requiring a reboot and defeating the purpose of hibernation.

Probably would be better if I got an SSD and things booted way faster.
