While it's obviously unintended to have the weather and season entirely different across the water, I kinda like the idea of climates and biomes actually being that small and being able to travel into an entirely different one easily.
Also, I don't know how much to trust the map but Sunburst Island is barely south from the land everything else is on yet it's somehow permanently warm and grassy.
One thing that sort of bothers me a little when watching Minecraft videos is when someone breaks a block and leaves an item on the ground, and then they just never pick it up so it's left to despawn.
Though someone who's playing so much Minecraft that they're doing it as the focus of their channel probably has so much of everything stockpiled that one single fence item going wasted doesn't matter. :p
Sometimes I'm about to go make a GitHub issue for a project of mine for a feature I want to do later, and then I'm like, "Wait, Nova get off your butt and just implement that right now. It's easy."
In short, Tilemap Town now lets you download an offline copy of any map you're on, though you can't use it for anything yet. It's nice to be able to have a backup of your work that no one can take from you.
While I used to dislike gift cards for locking you into using the money on a specific store, now they're kind of nice since it's some money you can use to treat yourself without any guilt about not saving it. You're sparing the recipient from the pains of opportunity cost a bit, while not giving them something they potentially dislike since they choose what it is.
mastodon meta
One issue I can see with Mastodon's follower-only toots is you don't actually get a full picture of what it's like to follow someone until you do.
I've had to back out before after someone's content turns out to be too much for me and I sorta worry about what it'd look like if I did that right after following someone. Probably just unnecessary worry though.
It's got a bunch of assembly source code on it for games I never finished and probably won't. One of them was gonna be a simple Sonic-inspired game, though who knows if that would have gone over well on an LCD that's slow enough that you can get grayscale like this.
family, lonely (-)
Now that I got to go to a family gathering thing again I'm reminded of the problem that's been in the way for a long time, where there's just no one my age.
I can't relate to pre-adolescent children or people 20+ years older than me, who only talk about things I know nothing about, and because there were no activities except talking I was just on my phone most of the time...
Oops, appears I completely missed the word Tycoon in there. But yeah RCT Classic is a pretty good mobile game in the sea of microtransactions and pay-to-win.
I'm a pretty squirrel princess who dabbles in roleplay, game development, retro game consoles, pixel art, and a variety of computery things.
