test driven development? its good actually
as someone who loses interest in her programming projects because of the growing feeling of not knowing how many bugs are lurking in the code, not being able to guarantee that anything is actually doing what it's meant to be doing anymore? having a set of tests that will run and tell me i havent fucked up is extremely nice
it can't solve the fact that my shitty brain is incapable of planning large scale coding projects in advance but at least i can be sure that the code i've written isn't degrading into garbage as i repeatedly refactor it into something coherent
sure wish i'd been fucking taught this in uni instead of learning about it 5 years later after it was haphazardly bolted onto the java course i used to demonstrate for!!!!!!!!
