artists using AI to make art is going to cause you a lot of troubles. Browsing Fiverr, it's common to see such ads. It's not possible that someone makes such good-looking BG asking only 24 eur each! indeed, in the description the seller claims "I use the latest ai technologies in combination with photoshop and illustrator to create the highest quality art for your projects."
Which means if you use this to make your Steam game you're going to face trouble and delays...! #indiedev #gamedev

I had to explain to a 12yo that not long before she was born, you made a computer display by sucking all the air out of an enormous glass box and then painting one side of it with special paint that sometimes glowed and then applying 2000V to a little bit of hot wire so you ripped electrons out of it and using electromagnets to steer the electrons to hit the special paint so that it glowed, and she seemed increasingly suspicious that I was pulling her leg and at the end she just said "that seems.. ..very inefficient?" and now I feel like a walking exhibit at a mediaeval blacksmithing museum

Can we talk about how badly Apple messed up with code signing and notarization on macOS? These are the instructions to install most indie games and open source software now.

People are being taught to ignore Apple’s warnings, making them useless. Many devs can’t justify $100/year just to avoid this. Some software doesn’t get released for Mac because this is such a hassle. It’s nobody’s fault but Apple’s, and their platform is worse for it.
