For me, there's a few topics I say will never be in my games. I may even have a hard time imagining how a game with those topics would be fun, but we explicitly marking those topics as "off limits" so they're not even joked about.
As a game facilitator, you might think "oh, I don't really need to spend so much time on these tools because I'm a good person. I'm not going to include anything awful."
But here's the thing: you can't know what your players might struggle with.
I've played games with someone who said "you can include spiders, but don't ever describe them being near or on my face."
I couldn't have guessed that.
Or "please don't include death by [cause of death] because I lost someone to that."
Or "no romance for me, please, I'm just coming off a rough relationship."
People will have sensitivities you've never thought of and, as the person running the game, it's your responsibility to give them space to share that vulnerability, & respect that trust.
@njion so you're telling me that what god actually hates are figs?
Hello!
I didn't want to post anything here until I started making art again. I'm an artist, but I rarely make art. It's a problem.
I make things but no fine art. Art that is its own purpose, art for art's sake. Even this oneβhalf done to test some software, half to have a timelapse for a vlog. It's been a long time since I just painted β¦ But maybe we'll get there again. Maybe I'll have some thoughts about it to share.
In the mean time, I painted these lily pads for you (and me).
Did a #gamedev all-nighter and submitted my #ldjam entry 'Portrait of a robot climbing a dystopian megastructure', using #godotengine
The theme was 'limited space', I've interpreted that as limited horizontal screen space, and tried to make gameplay that fits a portrait orientation with an emphasis on the vertical. I've also taken it a little more literally and incorporated lots of narrow ledges and other physically limited spaces to move.

"Ewe shall not pass!"
The gang makes it clear that I'm to go no further. But what names might they each have?
