I'm playing Larn and i was enjoying it up until I was blinded.

Moria / Angband feel more beginner-friendly, while Nethack has you navigate menus and huge lists to get info on commands.

My experience with roguelikes so far: I like Moria / Angband better than Nethack

Playing Deep Rock Galactic made me more open to picking Dwarves in RPGs

I still don't quite get the point of having convoluted inventory management in classic roguelikes. Can't you have a single Inventory button and have the action to perform depend on the selected item?

Played Rogue, fought a suspicious amount of Emus, got to a floor where I couldn't find the stairs to continue and searching didn't bring anything up. Not a fan.
