understanding URLs β their roles and the ways and whys of how they are constructed β was an elementary skill of the original view-source web.
hiding complete URLs encourages people to become ignorant consumers of mysterious information services, rather than informed participants in a public forum.

I was just informed that the Guardian is prepping to do a story on DIY HRT and is looking to interview trans folk, particularly teens.
The story will almost certainly be weaponized by conservatives to argue for removing access to the necessary materials.
Just like with the police, anything you say can and will be used against you by mainstream media.

Some landscape renders made with Bryce 3D come by on Mastodon this week and it reminded me of the first landscape renderer I used: VistaPro.
It was was one of many DOS programs on the "Virtual Reality Madness" compilation disc from 1993. VistaPro also came out on Amiga and Mac OS, and later Windows.
VistaPro (v1.01) didn't give you much control but the results looked stunning then, if you allowed your computer to render the highest quality image for a few hours that is.

@njion you just reminded me of that video where a guy REWRITTEN AND OPTIMIZED ALMOST ALL OF THE SM64 CODE so it runs at some insane frame rate at original hardware
