homophobia & transphobia

It's always interesting to hear about early gay rights movements, because the arguments used against them were the exact same arguments that are now being reused against trans rights

I don't know if it is general fedi culture that posting media not created by yourself is allowed or not, but I'm breaking this rule once because this is worth it and fuck DeSantis.

Mexican politics

Lately I've been paying a lot more attention to the state of politics in my country of Mexico. Now, I'm no political expert (far from it) but I feel like polarization is causing needless conflict. I feel like any political proposal that doesn't strive for union will only find more resistance against it. Relying on fear, hate, misinformation or opposition for opposition's sake is ultimately going to create more trouble than it might solve. It's almost like a distraction, I think.

I just downloaded Sunset Solitaire, a #pico8 solitaire game by @johanpeitz and it's really fun.

Man, the remake of Riven looks great. It's almost surreal to experience these locations in actual real time 3D.

I've saved exactly three textbooks from my undergraduate education, as totems of my electrical engineering roots. Although I was never a chip designer, my first couple jobs after graduation were adjacent in the semiconductor industry. Conway & Mead was a classic at the time.

RIP Lynn Conway
