All of these idiot gender reveal parties that cause fire and deaths should just be renamed gender assignment parties.

My mother’s side of the family valued male children more than females. The pressure to live up to what being a male means for them was overwhelming and could have led to developmental issues if other males in my generation didn’t quickly follow. I was the first, but 4 came very rapidly after me, relieving that pressure.

Celebrate your kid being who they are. Don’t kill pilots and start forest fires. Besides, pink is a masculine color.

AI is a very processing-heavy way to copy and paste badly.

Being "intellectually gifted" kinda really sucks emotionally. Like you succeed easily in school and academia but when you *do* struggle you end up not knowing how to cope and everyone around you offers no support, just disappointment. Because "you're so smart! You can do this if you *just* work harder!". That kind of stuff ruins your self esteem. It doesn't matter how strong you are, without the right tools you won't fix a broken car. It's much the same with intellectual tasks.
And on top of that even when you do succeed you end up feeling like you don't deserve it, like you didn't work hard enough for it. Because others put in more effort than you and still failed. It's really fucked up and I should probably be going to therapy lol
