The fascists love to demonize queer ppl for "making everything about sex" or "making their gender their whole personality" but every time I go to a queer event I am struck by how precisely they have this backwards. Cis society is profoundly sexualized, and literally every interaction is pre-coded with assumed gender. In a queer space, you purposefully never make assumptions about who someone is or what they're up to, so interactions are much *less* coded by gender and *less* intronsically sexual

Here’s my thread on stopping some of the hacks you see in the news by… just deploying uBlock Origin to every employee and browser. Like we do. I’m not talking theory. I’m the practitioner who does it as my day job today in production at a very large firm.

Mental health advice be like 'It's okay to take a step back! Prioritise getting more sleep! Spend more time in nature!' while carefully avoiding the elephant in the room that the reason I can do none of these things is because 5/7ths of my life is dominated by that non-optional 'having a job' thing. Tell me how I can 'take a step back' from that and I'll be right there.
