I'm a world class developer/architect with ~20 years of experience urgently seeking work.
I'm a generalist, a quick learner and a problem solver. I've years of experience picking up the pieces and getting projects back on track.
Keywords: rust, elixir, erlang, python, perl, haskell, purescript, javascript, html, css, svg, devops, linux, terraform, docker etc. etc.
Looking for *remote* work (from the netherlands). no blockchains and probably no AI.
I've deleted my NaNoWriMo account. They not only have a generative 'AI' sponsor, they're defending letting you use AI to plaigiarise yourself to 50,000 on the basis that disabled people need AI.
I have a cognitive disability that makes it very difficult for me to write and I am FURIOUS.
Make no mistake, it is very fucking ableist to use people like me as a shield when you are STEALING FROM PEOPLE LIKE ME. They are the ableist ones here. https://www.404media.co/nanowrimo-ai-policy-classist-ableist/
Looking for a monospaced pixel font with a lo-fi technical vibe, serving old school interfaces? Meet Departure Mono. I love it soooo much!
The creator of Newgrounds has considered adding ActivityPub support to join the fediverse but is worried it would make their hosting fees untenable by โserving files to millions of people on third party appsโ. Can anyone with more knowledge on how this works help them?

Having Newgrounds on the Fediverse would be incredible. Newgrounds has a huge art community, many features not available on any platform and has been around the longest (1999)

hello new friends. did you know that kitsune tails has a special lower-than-recommended-by-steam price in brazil? we priced it R$39.99 instead of the 59.99 steam suggested cause we know games are too dang expensive over there
so if a queer mario-like platformer (that sneakily turns into mario meets ninja gaiden halfway through) sounds like your jam, check it out https://store.steampowered.com/app/1325260/
My 6th grader has class this year called "Digital Literacy" where students learn about how to search for reliable information online, interpret data, and avoid misinformation & disinformation. They will also discuss #AI.
I cannot think of a more important subject in 2024. #education cc @Noupside
