Yeah, I did that for years and years, since I started using emulators in the late 90s. I think NESticle was my first. That or SNES97.

The first SNES emulator I used that didn't suck was ZSNES, and then from about '06 to '13 I swapped between that and SNES9x.
Now I use RetroArch with one of the bsnes cores.

I did a mix of real PSP, Windows PPSSPP, and Android PPSSPP. Also Vita for some games.

But the default interface for PC RetroArch sucks. It's XMB, like on the PSP and PS3.
