In the spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the setting is New York. American wizards and witches call their non-magic brethren "No-Majes," or "No-Maj" for singular.

I failed to point out that Fantastic Beasts is a Harry Potter spinoff, set I believe in the 1920s.
