Kids are fascinating. One was freaking out about not knowing every single word in a book. Told them, "it's cool to not know every single word, or every single plant—the author is painting a picture with words, getting the gist is totally ok". Immediately gets it and listens to the rest of the chapter engrossed.
I forget how much we have to be told and don't figure out ourselves. That never stops—every day almost I get that, "Oh. I should have known that. Thanks for telling me" feeling.
