ok but legitimately can someone explain why the great gatsby is considered such a classic? am i missing something? its just some dude that’s basically a con man and can’t get over his crush so he stalks the shit out of her and kills a person?
and i honestly feel like this description (while true) makes the book sound WAY better/cooler than it is?
