what the fuck is this

/me just installs wireguard-tools and uses wg genkey / wg pubkey

@iliana or as I stole from the arch wiki:

wg genkey | tee privatekey | wg pubkey > publickey

@adasauce sometimes when I'm feeling particularly saucy I'll do

$ wg genkey | tee /dev/stderr | wg pubkey | sed 's/^/public: /'

@iliana offtopic, how do you deal with moving about with wg?

I keep having to kick one of my wg servers because it caches the endpoint IP from my laptop (client), i jump around to a new location, then dead connection until I restart it on the server and it picks up my new IP

@adasauce I’ve never had it cache an old address... whenever my roam it renegotiates and the server updates the endpoint.
