@sean_ae reckon it's harder to make something like this profitable in arcades now though. the industry has just shifted a lot. but you see this sort of thing in indie development, people inspired by cave games and whatnot. interesting to see people mimic the style very closely but in a home gaming context. it gets even more niche as a passion project deal
@sean_ae what gets me is how niche all this stuff is, so much work goes into creating things that not many people will see, let alone beat. it feels like a pure example of the developers having full faith in player skill and being able to deliver a crazy challenge without compromising on their vision. very special sort of thing
