question: how far does this golf ball go
me: ah, how hard could this be
steps: find the initial velocity, then find when the ball hits the ground, then find the "horizontal component of the initial velocity" then find the distance traveled during the horizontal period then

@FirstProgenitor you're extremely justified in not like. getting this. and all. but also, breaking it down into smaller components like that should make it easier to do than just starting with a bunch of nothing and having to get the final answer

anyqho, if u need help i can probably walk u through some of this

@autistikai i mean tbh, i feel like the way its taught to me is super backwards. all of this just feels like a wall of text. if it was all just one equation, where all the different parts where labeled like "this part calculates this thing" i would be able to see how they all interact with eachother, and i would be able to remember the equation better, AND i would be able to understand what the equation is trying to say. with how it keeps being explained to me, i feel like im just having a million disconnected equations shoved in my face and its overwhelming and confusing

@FirstProgenitor ....i Might (emphasis on the might) be able to help with that too. im not always great with explanating. but seriously if u want me to try help just lmk

@autistikai thank you. i have to shower and go to class atm, but i might take u up on ur offer later today. thank you very much

@FirstProgenitor always. seriously. i don't know that i will be able to help you, but as long as i am physically capable i can try
