@Red in terms of official definitions? communism is basically a stance on what the government should be to enable socialism
i've seen some people label communism as 'authoritarian socialism' which is....a useful simplification? definition-wise, tho, socialism and communism are the same except for the government structure bit, so the -socialism / -communism ideologies that incorporate their own stance on that (e.g. ansoc/ancom) have the same definition. people have strong opinions tho
