"Happy Thanksgiving! In a totally non-traditional, harvest festival way with no referencing the false narrative of pilgrims and Indians sharing a meal that hides the genocidal truth. [turkey emoji]"
no idea how to feel abt this message we just saw. i mean, at least they're acknowledging the history?? but it's such a bizarre way to do that. we're very confused.
@wolfie like we said: this was a very confusing message to read.
@autistikai yes it definitely is 🤔
@autistikai "non-traditional, harvest festival way" umm... I think harvest festivals are *very* traditional and also what Thanksgiving is based on. Like, I just see Christmas as a mid-winter excuse to eat a bunch of food and drink a load like our ancestors did cos what else do you do in the middle of winter, Thanksgiving can also just be a celebration of the harvest season and an excuse to eat a bunch of food 😁
