@Pyretta oh, i love this. thank you
@Pyretta oh, i didn't know about them! my knowledge of ww2 is largely limited to ethics
@skelltan@hellsite.site do what you want to do. if you're not genuinely interested in the subject it's generally gonna go badly. that said—don't make your final decision in advance unless you have to. first year or two at uni's a good opportunity to figure these things out with both experience (from taking relevant courses) and assistance (from school guidance folks or just chatting with more advanced students)
disclaimer: most of this advice is secondhand; i think it's mostly accurate but maybe not perfect?

@Pyretta ironically, though, action heroes still often pale in comparison to comparable acts by real-life human beings. but, uh—yeah. don't think i have much else to say about it, really
@Pyretta aye, that's for certain. terribly good fun, when it's safe

@Pyretta yep i'm do understand how toxic masculinity works. all that being said, though, thinking about how upset they'd be just makes me feel more "do it"
@ibrokemypie hugs!!!
@Pyretta honestly most gender roles i never got enough exposure+explanation of to actually understand them. like, the only one where i could even say i know What it is is, like, toxic masculinity
(found a pic of my earlier reference, btw. it amuses me)
