@BestGirlGrace oh, lovely. i do appreciate a touch of creative craftsmanship—bullets and blades are entertaining enough, but one so rarely sees anything else in a parasol. i'll look forward to this, shall i?

@BestGirlGrace okay but only if it's a proper weapon too. i will not settle for menacing by a parasol without at least one built-in means by which it could kill me

@skelltan@hellsite.site @BestGirlGrace i'll let you try to figure that one out

@thatsmycheesemonster they did have a seasonal counter to it with that gothic festival, but obv people who missed that are pretty much stuck eh

@hierarchon golly gee that sounds really quite gay of you (i'm happy for ya, friend)

i love light bulbs! very delicious

@00dani @BestGirlGrace @CyclopsCaveman hell yell it is. honestly it parallels a Lot of minority experiences, which ofc makes it super easy to identify with the pov character

@BestGirlGrace @00dani @CyclopsCaveman megamind also the whole thing about metroman and megamind were basically forced into their respective roles by societal expectations—metroman's the popular rich kid, megamind grows up in a prison, and by the end of the film they've both figured out who they want to be and end up doing it despite the societal pressure (especially on megamind) to never change

@marie_joseph@eldritch.cafe there's not exactly a single continuous concept of the fae because the generalised term includes traditions of fair folk ranging at least as far as ireland and eastern europe, with probably smaller adoptions from local cultures that white people came into
