so many of the questions on this leftvalues thing don't make sense. "bureaucracy and inefficiency are inherent...." no, inefficiency is inherent in the western-style bureaucracies not like. the actually well-designed ones

@freyja_wildes@social.art-software.fr @efi functionally, as long as the chestplate is still constructed from a single solid plate, it probably wouldn't be much worse. it'd still be easier to hurt someone by going for the gaps in their armour
most fantasy armour, though, is Not constructed like proper full plate, so yes it'd absolutely be a safety hazard
also it just kinda looks weird. it makes more sense to mimic the appearance of a shirt being worn over boobs instead of....whatever that is
