Remembering Reichspogromnacht (more commonly known as "Kristallnacht" but generally I would advise you not to use that term) memorial day last year when I was threatened by the local nazis for interfering with their attempts to disturb the memorial service.
I intend to attend the service again this year and I won't back down from getting into fisticuffs with the fash. But above all, I wish a rabbi in this country (or anywhere, but ESPECIALLY in this country) wouldn't have to walk around with a bodyguard in 2019.

honestly our only complaint with the theory is that literal snake hair is very i;m gay. which, given how critical we are of most of this sort of theorising, says rather a lot

@KitsuneAlicia@octodon.social we've approached a lot of this stuff as a historian, sort of by incident as opposed to design. so our understanding of medusa is like, "what historical cultures would most closely align with how the greeks described her appearance", and we're a bit lacking in the mystical know-how aspect
