Remember when Rome had a trans Empress? Neither do straight historians https://redd.it/deq62u
for a neat sense of scale: 1 million seconds ago was 11 days. 1 billion seconds ago was 1987. 100 billion seconds ago was 1151 BCE.
Holy crap, now I'm even more glad I didn't get on board the WoW Classic hype train.
Blizzard, in response to a Hearthstone grandmaster from Hong Kong using a slogan from the pro-democracy movement, pulls all his tournament winnings, bans him from competing for a year, *and* fires both casters who were hosting the event, who likely didn't even know he was going to say it.
Very bad look, and I can't see any reason to give them money.
also 5000 a day for 500 years is still short of a billion.
every billionaire deserves the guillotine.
reading, listening, and shutting up are 100% free
but y'all white people stay making frivolous life choices and expecting PoCs to pay the price as you "unpack your white fragility" and other nonsense

the game has, once again, given me an issue in which people are having difficulty managing stress because they have to juggle life and working multiple jobs. and are complaining that there's no government support

Have you heard of this game where you play as a horrible goose that wreaks mischief on the mild-mannered inhabitants of a small English village?

@silverspookgames i like how silent generation folks being stingy is clearly recognized as a result of the economic crisis they lived through instilling in them incredible anxiety over economic security, but when millennials exhibit the exact same trend in behavior it's seen as a character flaw
it'd be nice if there were a way for me to just. talk to people like me, y'know? or at least get to hear what somebody from a similar culture has to say. but the mechanisms of oppression have been designed to isolate us, and the only way for me to come into contact with people of my culture(s) is if i happen to meet them in person. there is no convenient selection of authors who resemble me, or social networks for refugees, or anything like that. i know no one outside my family who's like me
a bug, not a feature.
