Tired: "men are too emotional to be leaders." *replicates the sexist assumption that unemotionality is always a superior trait and is inherently associated with dominance/authority.*
Wired: "Men aren't emotional enough to be leaders." *Hot take. Asserts the value of traits devalued by patriarchy. Radically re-envisions what leadership ought to look like. Doesn't throw men who experience positive emotions intensely under the bus for being insufficiently "in-control" (read: masculine).*

information the cop hears that helps you is inadmissible in court -- it's hearsay. but negative testimony by cops is absolutely admissible! and if you have a conversation with a cop, and later they lie / misremember what you said, then it's your word against theirs in court. people have been convicted on little-to-nothing but the testimony of a cop claiming you told them something incriminating.
It's incredibly sad when I look up in the winter while walking through New York City where greenery is a scarce and precious resource and see tree after tree on the side of the street that must be 20-30 years old and they're COVERED in mistletoe.
Those trees, which could have lived for decades longer, are being killed. Why? Because Christians went and imported a deadly plant from Europe that has no use other than as a Christmas ornament to the Americas.
Don't make the problem worse.
This isn't a joke. Mistletoe is an invasive and PARASITIC PLANT that, once it infects a tree, will eventually kill it. Worse, it is extremely contagious and the plant cannot be removed. The only way to remove the parasite from an infected tree is to cut the limb off that the mistletoe has infected.
Most trees need to be cut down and they need to be cut down BEFORE they spread their infection to healthy trees.
a bug, not a feature.
