I wish everybody knew about https://outline.com
when "hey you should read article! [link]" leads you to some hideous monstrosity of popups, autoplaying videos, and begging for/demanding money to read the damn text, you can instead:
1. copy the URL
2. paste it into the outline.com box
3. enjoy reading the actual text
4. (optional) say "not today, Satan"
sometimes it doesn't work, for some mysterious, unexplained reason. outline.com sometimes chokes on NYT articles, for example, but other times if I close the tab it's in, open an new tab, and try pasting the url again, it works, so.
anyway yeah! spread the news!
oh one more resource

lets you block websites you keep opening that you don't want to
useful if there's a request to boycott a website for a set time period, or if you just keep having mental health breakdowns checking on harassment sites when you really don't need to!
excerpt from a conversation made boostable by request
it's fucking useless to argue on the internet and tell people in need not to use something without giving them any alternative and then call them scabs for it
it's not useless to give ppl what they need, to say "hey you can just venmo me directly and i'll give you a ride, let's skip the whole uber system", to say "here's videos and podcasts that aren't on youtube", to tell people "here's how to get your shit delivered without amazon"
and those can stick outside the strike and that's *important*
some of acey's podcast recommendations
hi, are you like us and need someone constantly talking to soothe your ADHD and loneliness? is the youtube picket line more than an "inconvenience" to you as a disabled person managing things?
podcasts may or may not help you a lot! here's some of our absolute faves:
The Disability Visibility Podcast - https://disabilityvisibilityproject.com/podcast-2/ - This is an interview podcast hosted by Alice Wong. Every episode is around one to two interviews with different people on topics that are about or heavily intersect with disability!
ARGonauts - http://www.theorangegroves.com/Argonauts/ (RSS feed is at https://pinecast.com/feed/argonauts ) - Two people go through Alternate Reality Games, explain them, laugh about them, and rate their puzzles and stories!
Friends At The Table - http://www.friendsatthetable.net/ - If you like tabletop games, and you don't want to hear a bunch of people play dungeons and dragons, you may love this podcast. It's an Actual Play (that is, they are Actually Playing tabletop games) where they play a lot of things. You can start with any season, but if you start from the beginning you will have *months* to listen to. We personally love COUNTER/Weight.
Love and Luck - https://www.loveandluckpodcast.com/ - If you want queer, adorable, short 10 minute episodes about two queer guy witches who fall in love, start a dry bar safe space, and help protect their community, this is amazing. We adore this podcast a lot, and it makes us cry sometimes.
The Strange Case of Starship Iris - https://www.spreaker.com/show/the-strange-case-of-starship-iris - This fiction podcast is extremely an embodiment of "be gay, do crimes." A ship full of a queer found family crew smuggling shit in space and investigating a mysterious explosion of the titular Starship Iris.
Queer Sex Ed - https://www.queersexed.org/ - Queer Sex Ed is a call to queer the institutions of sexual education. It's incredibly informative on kink safety, sex safety, the many, many places where politics drive how relationships are formed, polyamory, and queer and especially trans experiences with sex. We love this podcast so much, and it taught us a safeword we now tell all our partners! (Blue, to go with the red/yellow/green stoplights - blue means "i have a trauma response, please stop and give this specific aftercare to me")
Setting The Record Queer - http://settingtherecordqueer.libsyn.com/website - Another interview podcast! On this one, your hosts Kaylee and Alexis interview people on the things they do and talk about what queerness is like in those communities, form speedrunning to poetry to satire journalism.
That's our non-exhaustive list! Please feel free to ask us for more. Additionally, if you need a podcast app, we use Antennapod on android and it's our favorite!!!
This irl 'cyberpunk hellscape' would be so much cooler if there was a quick, painless, and aesthetically pleasing way to ruthlessly rob amazon.com.
This is where we need real innovation. Not in shitty blockchain twitters, not in videos game monetization, not in shitty electric cars. We need cyber-heist innovation, and we need it now!

Autism Speaks, eugenics, birdsite
Well, OCRbot fucked up, so here we go: The image is a tweet by user LeftistWriter. The text reads: "Autism Speaks is collaborating with Google to make a database of genetic material to help researchers "eliminate" autism.
Curing autism is eugenics. Full stop. I most certainly do not want to be cured. If you care about autistic people, you shouldn't support Autism Speaks."
The tweet contains two attached images of evidence. The original tweet can be found at https://twitter.com/LeftistWriter/status/1204459086030487552?s=19
