a cool thing about donating to bail funds btw: that money isn't one-and-done. unless someone actually doesn't report to court, which almost never happens, that money is returned to the bail fund to be used once again. donating $50 to a bail fund *permanently* gives them an additional $50 to use again and again as that money gets returned to them.

the bigger the pool of money a bail fund has, the more people it can help at once, since ofc your $50 cannot be used to post bail for multiple people at one time.

normalize cellulite.

seriously, as a recent reaction to progesterone i have started getting cellulite on my arms and legs near my knees and thighs. i think im just seeing more growth in my limbs to match the rest of my body and even things out.

either way, cellulite is smth it seems like many of us have but feel ashamed to acknowledge esp considering how images of cellulite are practically never shown in the media.

come on people stop laughing about it being impossible to prosecute antifa and realize the obvious truth. they're trying to criminaliZe protest And dissent against amerikkkan crimes at home and abroad

here's a spicy take since we're talking about how the political compass is bullshit: I think the mirror image of how it is used to make libertarianism look cool is that it's purposefully designed to make communism look bad. half the misconceptions I see about real communists is just assuming that "authoritarian leftism" is like, when you like owning the means of production but you're homophobic, as opposed to like, anything Lenin actually wrote or that actually existing socialist states did--regardless of the martial realities of these nations

likeliness of communications blackouts in major US cities: making plans, taking action

"There is a non-zero possibility that major US cities are about to get their civilian communications infrastructure turned off or significantly restricted. If this idea scares you too much to contemplate, please move on. I can't think of how to CW this appropriately, so my apologies for your anxiety, but this is important to my social circle, so I'll continue."

Dr. Cornel West has basically told CNN what the fuck was up.

He's been a pretty good ally to Queer folks too, I appreciate him and his voice.

take your pick, everywhere needs help, if you'd normally donate $20 to a bail fund but you have a fancy salaried tech job maybe donate $20 to every one on this list?

re: Intentional Misinformation - MN protests

Developers and their politician puppets have been using this tactic of development for years with phenomenal success; it's literally impossible to have a discussion about stopping new development without someone, very often on the left, complaining that you're preventing poor people from having homes. It's a sadistic, disingenuous practice that has ruined countless cities. If affordability is based on AMI, it's a lie! (pt 2 of 2)

Intentional Misinformation - MN protests

I have to speak up as someone who works in zoning/urban planning. The narrative of protesters in Minneapolis burning an affordable housing complex is COMPLETE SHIT. This is the website for the project: midtowncorner.com/
As you can see, only 20% of the units are "affordable". Affordability here is based on the neighborhood's income, which will rise as more rich people move in. All this to say, people know what the hell they're burning. (pt 1)
