Sometimes I see the ass-backwards argument that it's PRIVILEGED to demand better working conditions or have a bare minimum standard for what jobs you will accept, because truly oppressed people don't get to pick and choose, and it just boggles me that you would use workers' suffering to argue against workers' rights.

I've seen this in trans spaces, as if "trans people should be happy with any job they can get" is not merely a dire reality, but a value that needs to be upheld against those who demand more and better from life.
