I feel like it only took a few weeks for plastic straws to get banned in certain cities. We as a country go absolutely apeshit if someone suggests that we should cool it with all the plastic bags and bottles, but that plastic straw stuff got pushed through pretty quickly.
What fell conspiracy was behind all that? Is there some paper straw manufacturer in Washington State cackling at their fat stacks of dough now that people in Seattle have had their access to plastic straws curtailed?
