Sincere Joker take
Facepalming myself into the ether at Warner Bros. banning red carpet Joker premiere interviews and stating simply that the film isn’t supposed to be an endorsement of anything and the Joker isn’t supposed to be a hero.
Corporate media has no idea what publicity means. This situation isn’t about whether the character is “actually” good or bad. It’s about choosing to give screen time to a narrative arc that’s structured and framed such that people who want to believe his actions are justified will find their excuse.
It’s possible to tell effective, good stories about men like this, but to deliberately center your story around an existing figure from the incel mythos *right now* is irresponsible.
Stop making these types of narratives. Give the bulk of the screen time to people actually victimized by such men, and let their own stories show how pathetic and horrible these men are. Let the few good movies centered around such men serve their purpose; we don’t need more.

i'm well aware canada's healthcare system is vastly inadequate, but just imagine if the housing system were anywhere near what the healthcare system was like.
for-profit housing should be as obscene as for-profit healthcare. flipping houses should be seen as as unethical as hiking up insulin prices.
Seattle/Eastside trans-safe housing sought
Posting for an acquaintance, I will connect interested parties.
Tech-services #professional who regularly works 16-hour days seeking #transgender-safe shared household in #Seattle or Eastside areas. A parking space and cat-free household are what this quiet nite-owl needs at home. Relocation by October’s end preferred, by mid-November at the latest, in order to avoid homelessness.
Boosts in appropriate circles welcome.
Hey, want to know an easy programming language: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easy_Programming_Language
so many horror stories are just "what if this happened TO YOU" about a thing that regularly happens to people
"The specification had provisions for reporting whether the floppy drive door was open, but IBM didn’t implement that part of the specification because it saved them a NAND gate."
"Mark Zbikowski led the MS-DOS 2.0 project, and he sat down with a stopwatch while Aaron Reynolds and Chris Peters tried to swap floppy disks on an IBM PC as fast as they could.
They couldn’t do it under two seconds.
So the MS-DOS cache validity was set to two seconds."
