never expect any proxy set up by a western power to ever be remotely democratic by any means because it's flat out never in the interests of said western power. and you wonder why the U.S. is so bad at "statebuilding" when literally every incentive is to have a stable, authoritarian ally rather than an unpredictable democracy on its hands. The U.S. never wants to install a self determining government if it thinks there's any chance the people there won't serve US interests.
@melissasage You're gonna end up on the streets and you're gonna be grateful for the freedom to starve
@melissasage frankly it says a lot that the best thing you guys can say about america is that *at least* you're "free"

"Congenital human baculum deficiency": a paper theorizing that the story of Adam's rib was actually about his penis bone.
There are a lot of racist hippies there who hate PoC moving in, and they try to coach it as criticism of, specifically, Amazon. I guess they figure everyone hates Amazon.
You can tell they're being racist, because when they complain about Amazon, it's not about how the company treats workers, but about who Amazon is hiring.
You can also tell because it usually takes them another 4 seconds before they start explicitly whining about Muslims and Indians etc.
Looking to learn about puberty blockers for a trans girl
My step-kid is a 12-year old trans girl and wants to start taking puberty blockers. We don't know what the process is like, what hoops she'll have to jump through, etc. Her psychiatrist didn't know either (she is planning to get back to us, likely with a referral though). We would appreciate it if anybody can point us at a good resource! We live in the US. (Florida)
Trans, guy of center, well over 18.
I'm in tech and it feels weird.
