In total honesty, it's both the stretching and the gloss.

The stretchy body is completely a toon-fixation, and I love that I can instantly do something surreal with an arm lasso or something, and it's perfectly legit in-character to do so...

The gloss or just that little bit of shine is another being-surreal-in-plain-sight thing... that there's just that instant reaction that this roo-thing isn't normal, and that their skin is unnaturally smooth to the touch...

Also... that it's a subtle barrier between me and the outside world, 'cause I kinda need that to really function...
