Why does my cat sleep so much?

Science is still learning the answer to this! But put simply, the designers of the universe, for budgetary reasons, offloaded much of the heavy quantum processing necessary to model physical reality to cat brains. Your cat is literally dreaming the universe (including you).

This is why it is not wise to wake a sleeping cat. Each time you do, some data is erased from the universe; that's how black holes form, and also why you only dimly recall the Berenstein War.

@boots Faction Barynsteon would like to disagree, but they'd also like to not have been going to be chrono-wiped from the Parallax Empire by The Woman In The Blue And Gold Dress.

It's probably for the best that we don't remember, really. Certainly much simpler.

@natecull there should be a list of time-travel tenses, "have been going to be" is so clunky
