fuck websites that redirect direct image links if you try to visit them from any referrer that isnt the website

the worst part is what they did to mobile users
basically desktop users get an okay experience, but mobile users get just absolutely screwed with ads
they used to make it so that if you tried to visit image links on a mobile browser, it would force you to download the imgur app to see it
you literally couldnt view images without the app
@boots The page is also pretty much blank if you disable Javascript; after all, who doesn't want all that page bloat.
I likened the "new design" (forcing mobile to apps) being a digital version of "hostile design". It's real bad

@boots Imgur started doing this, but I don't know if they stopped due to backlash or not
