tired: using dolphin.town to just say "e"
wired: using dolphin.town to communicate in ascii art
woke: using dolphin.town to communicate in a format that nobody has actually realized you're using yet

Okay, my new Mastodon instance is live! Since @Mus made oulipo.social where you can't post the letter 'e', I am proud to announce:

DOLPHIN TOWN!

A Mastodon instance where you can only say the letter "e". Follow me there! I'm @e

for the record you can use quicklime to heat a pool if you're careful but i wouldnt recommend it

@spiderrobotpig i just typed out an explanation and realized that like
god i don't think this would work???? like i don't know???

this is like using quicklime to heat a pool: sure it might work but like there's so many things wrong here

@spiderrobotpig okay first this is a good diagram of how hidden services work
basically you're just relaying through a node:
torproject.org/docs/hidden-ser

@ashkitten@toot.cat @spiderrobotpig uh itd probably be slow as Fuck

@spiderrobotpig look i wouldnt use this for anything that doesnt include a drawing of cthulhu on the front page

@spiderrobotpig basically what this implies is
oh god im going to have to draw a diagram and it's going to probably have to appreciably convey the pure horror of how this works

@spiderrobotpig what if
you started a tor mastodon instance
because you can start hidden services without portforwarding
and if you tell every server you're at one of those onion bridges from web to tor, you can get it working like that

(please note that if you do this, im pretty sure it will cause random sysadmins to have nightmares about this specific setup just because of it existing. this is eldritch networking abuse, basically)
