i dont remember where i heard this from but i heard an interesting thought:
"the reason some men don't like gay men is because they're worried they'll be treated the same way they treat women"
wouldnt it be nice if caches actually worked for websites that dont have any reason not to be cachable
opinion: a website that doesnt need to request information (like a blog or a news site) shouldnt be sending any data to any servers after the page is loaded

as an open platform, wouldn't it be cool as shit if mastodon's clientside javascript had hooks for userscripts? just a hook for "before displaying a toot, here's the api object and the dom element" would go a long way
