Okay I am being dead serious when I say this, but I am so happy I found this community. I feel that I can be more open on here than any other social media. basically usernames are like signing up for different email services except there arent monolithic email services
by the way: if you dont have the username you want, you can register on another instance, usernames are per-instance only
(but yeah apparently twitter's locking people for profanity which is dumb)
