you know that cartoon thing where like someone opens their wallet and a single fly comes out and leaves
that's just my permanent default financial state online
my discord username is very...
interesting
(fun fact it's also banned by discord so i cant change my account because itll tell me i have a blank username)
@boots and even if they don't, you can actually hide the image without having to scroll until it's off-screen!
sure, it doesn't work if someone's intentionally not tagging their stuff, but like
for twitter, it doesn't even work if someone wants to tag their stuff!!! why!!!
(and besides that's why it should be **ALWAYS BANNABLE** to not tag your nsfw)
also twitter's sensitive content ui is God Awful last i checked and makes it way harder to just view something on your timeline than it should be where mastodon's just *makes sense*
the nice thing about mastodon compared to birdsite that i never see anyone talk about: you can probably actually browse it in public, even if you follow people who post lewd stuff sometimes
because birdsite's approach to nsfw is just "here let us decide for you based on a shitty algorithm, or you can decide if your entire account is Sensitive (no per-post) and also if you want to view Everything Sensitive Ever"
mastodon is just "you know what you're doing, tag your stuff."
here's some of the stuff i don't get to see but know exists:
* What credit card company you use
* Political party affiliation
* Your education level
* Net worth
* If you own a home or rent
* If you're married
oh also by the way people with twitter analytics can see a general averaged list of all this data for all of their followers
what this data does not include that twitter is telling accounts the average of:
* How much income you make
* "Consumer behavior"
* Your mobile network
* What TV genres you watch
* What your home is valued at
* Your lifestyle choices (though it's always been "online buyers" for me so...)
i will no longer be on computerfairi.es
