Mabinogi remains the only MMORPG that I've ever played and been able to pour hours into without getting bored and quitting almost immediately. Sadly I only ended up playing it was when it was already really old and the community was but a shadow of what I presume it once was.

Ive found that when you start one MMO, after you've sunk so much time into it, it's very hard to commit to others. So people are often disappointed when I tell them I mostly played RuneScape. Regardless of what people thought of it, that game was a godsend for people with bad computers and dailup.
@caz Runescape took off for a reason, no matter how much grief people give it. The fact that it's still going strong (as far as I'm aware, anyway) definitely says something.
One of those games that, even if it isn't for me, I can definitely respect.
