I'm faced with a decision:
A. Keep using my trusty Thinkpad T430 which has served me well but has an eye straining screen and is almost unbearably slow.
B. Accumulate more debt for one of those new framework laptops that look ugly but seem like a great financial investment.
I have a desktop for casual use and gaming, this would just be for programming.

That's... Not good. It sounds like some people have solved the thermal issues by using their own thermal paste... But they never said how well this fixed their problem.
@caz I'll be back at work next week, I'll ask a colleague about it - because it's been a while since we talked about it and my memory is spotty.
@caz From what I've heard from people who own a framework they're still facing some serious issues regarding battery life and thermal issues. So it might not be worth the debt.
