Going #LARPing this weekend! First time in over 7 years. I get to be an elf, around other people, outdoors, and no one will think it's weird. My idea of Valinor!
(continued) ... being otherkin is a personal thing which doesn't need to be shared or understood by others. Other people thinking it's dumb doesn't make me more or less an elf. It doesn't affect me in any way. The only real downside, if in 10 years the term does get diluted to mean people who roleplay being wolves or whatever, is that it will make it harder to find others like myself.
