I'm tired of polarization. Tired of hating and shaming. Tired of seeing people as rivals, as different groups when we want the same things. I'm done with that as an artist. I want to bring people together in a world where communities grow so much farther apart.

I will for ever and until the end of time gush about the track Third Date from How to Train Your Dragon: Hidden World. It's so belovedly Irish and it just warms my heart whenever I hear it. It's also just melodically complex and musically exciting and inspires me to write stuff like that.

Today, we recognize Juneteenth, a day that marks a significant step forward in our ongoing struggle for equality and justice.

As Opal Lee, "Grandmother of Juneteenth" says: “Freedom really means vigilance to me. I want everybody to be aware that none of us are free until we are all free.”
Juneteenth is a time to reflect on the progress made as well as the work that still lies ahead in dismantling systemic oppression and amplifying the voices and experiences of the Black community.

Together, we can and must work to pave the way toward a future where everyone can thrive, regardless of their background. And such a future is possible as long as we remain resolved to build a society firmly rooted in equality, justice, and shared humanity.

Happy Juneteenth, friends.

did you know? a kitn can teleport!

using digital kitty magic, sometimes i can spawn into places and just appear.

this is very useful for popping up on your computer screen, getting into high-up places, and stealing your chair .5 seconds after you get up. :netkitty_w:

Hey people of Mastodon. I slept very little last night and my ADHD is making it very hard to focus on this super important day so, I know I probably could've sounded punchier and not ask for help but one thing this queer learned in a lifetime of abuse is that sometimes it's okay to ask for help. Today the 'Redundant' project was released, my baby independent project about violence against the transgender and non-binary community. Would you watch/listen? Would you reblog?

Reddit is restoring deleted posts and comments

Okay, so apparantly Reddit decided that the GDPR is nonexistent today; tane.codes/@tanepiper/11055380

Holy fucking shit, even though the restore is bad enough on its own, the evidence that reddit *has not deleted this data even though GDPR would compel them so* is even more damning

fucking lawsuit incoming, especially with the badwill they've accumulated lately, all in one month

Just because you can psychoanalyse someone in a way that seems rational to you doesn't make you right.

Instagram blocked the #joinPixelfed hashtag not long ago, and Twitter too.

Don't forget that 😉

@StefanThinks whoever named the fear of palindromes as "aibohphobia" is a sadistic bastard

"when will the save icon stop being a floppy disk?!"

Probably whenever cartoon bombs stop looking like these grenades from 1688
