This is our chance to win them over. Mastodon blew it for whatever reason before, but now that Elon seems to have breached the Trust Thermocline, we’ve got another chance.

Be friendly, be engaged, but for the love of fuck, DON’T be the Mastodon HOA. If you’re popping in to tell someone they’re doing Mastodon “wrong,” or the “right” way to whatev here, stfu.

@dynamic I would be open to this! Call it the "Common Pledge" or something like that; I'd want it to establish a commitment towards acceptable conduct and a pledge to defederate instances that flaunt or violate those conduct policies.

Made a thing

I'm tired of polarization. Tired of hating and shaming. Tired of seeing people as rivals, as different groups when we want the same things. I'm done with that as an artist. I want to bring people together in a world where communities grow so much farther apart.

Today, we recognize Juneteenth, a day that marks a significant step forward in our ongoing struggle for equality and justice.

As Opal Lee, "Grandmother of Juneteenth" says: “Freedom really means vigilance to me. I want everybody to be aware that none of us are free until we are all free.”
Juneteenth is a time to reflect on the progress made as well as the work that still lies ahead in dismantling systemic oppression and amplifying the voices and experiences of the Black community.

Together, we can and must work to pave the way toward a future where everyone can thrive, regardless of their background. And such a future is possible as long as we remain resolved to build a society firmly rooted in equality, justice, and shared humanity.
