One of the strangest pieces of legislation ever enacted in California took effect Jan. 1, giving state residents and visitors the same power to threaten the gun industry that Texans now wield over abortion providers.

Some gun-rights advocates have called California’s law “performative legislation,” but Craig Peters, a partner at Altair Law in San Francisco, said SB 1327 “points out the absurdity” of Texas’ approach and the bad precedent it set.

I'm going to start off the New Year with this tip: if you suffer from chronic muscle or joint pain, and have not yet tried a TENS unit, you're probably suffering needlessly. Donald Trump lived a lavish lifestyle while paying no taxes. That should be a crime. If it's not it means that our tax code has to be rewritten to ensure that the rich are paying their fair share of taxes--or at least more than we are!!!
