I feel like I’m near the start of the FedEx route and end of the ups routes

Always I long for the UPS. It feels like years since I have laid eyes upon a grinder that may grind my coffee fine enough for espresso.
So we’re getting a Clone High revival, a Beavis and Butthead revival, and a potential Mission Hill revival????
Maybe 2020-2021 is gonna be alright

tips for tolerating fireworks for folks who don't like 'em (OK to RT)
It's that time of year again in the US when knuckleheads show their support for veterans by doing stuff that disturbs anybody with PTSD. Tips:
* wear earplugs or ear defenders
* you can help cover noises with tv, a radio, a fan, or a white noise generator, and by keeping your house closed
* if you feel shook up, it helps to have deep pressure, like from a weighted blanket. talking to somebody really helps, so don't be shy about calling a friend or a crisis hotline. bonus if you can make a deal with somebody to talk to you even pretty late at night.
* keep pets indoors so they don't get scared and run away

I made an instagram account because too many of my coffee friends kept bugging me about my coffee making stuff recently
GOD I’m so antsy of just like agakdlxkdkakhxhf I want my grinder I wanna mess around with my robot I want espresso
5: Once I get my grinder and have my whole thing set up I’ll try to figure out a way to set up my phone so I can take a video of a shot pulling because it is honestly just so beautiful
3: even though there wasn’t a lot of pressure the shots didn’t taste bad! Only a little sour, but still kinda sweet. Both shots were INCREDIBLY thin and had like, zero body and essentially just sorta felt like water in the mouth. Almost no texture at all
4: The whole set up and process and clean up and what not was super fun and pretty easy and I’m so excited to be able to have espresso again TT-TT
Ok so
IM SO SXCITED
Sadly, the Baratza Encore is NOT meant for espresso, and the hand grinder I ordered won’t be here until tomorrow so I won’t be able to really dial in until then.
A few observations though:
1: I LOVE THIS. Seeing the first few drops was magical
2: The FINEST grind setting on the encore I was only able to get at most 4 bars of pressure. Espresso machines typically pull at 9 bars 🙃
