I really struggle to write lyrics that aren't rap lyrics. Is there some way to improve my lyrical talents through practice, or is it just something that needs to click instead of practicing?

I'm not sure of it for certain, but I feel like growing up reading the KJV affected my voice. You can also try writing the music before the lyrics or think of the lyrics differently from how they already sound in your head

And you could always look for a writer! Just give a set of ideas you want them to cover and they'll write something
