I realise the need for codes of conduct at academic events but I'm always worried I'll get told off for being my natural sweary self, as though saying "fuck" for emphasis was comparable with actually being inappropriately sexually explicit.
I guess I have little faith in people applying such codes in any sort of nuanced way.
