Controversial trans opinions, negative
srsly should I even continue to exist, I seem to upset fellow queers on a daily basis
re: Controversial trans opinions, negative
@kirby but yeah, I am increasingly on the fringes of this community and it is depressing and probably TERFs are to blame for making it all about "uncritically accepting gender as-is vs. being a transphobe"
re: Controversial trans opinions, negative

Gender Question
@mxsiege@octodon.social That sort of depends on how you define "gender", I think. People will always classify people into different categories because that's just how people are, but perhaps those categories would be understood as vague concept clusters rather than rigid groupings. But I think it's hard to imagine what womanhood would be like in a world without patriarchy, for example.
Gender Question
@mxsiege@octodon.social Like, I do experience dysphoria but also believe that gender is a made up thing. I was unhappy as a man, so I decided to try being a woman. Both of these things are constructs but one happened to fit me better than the other. The idea that there are two basic modes of being is silly, but I like having tits.
In a post-gender society, people would still modify their bodies with hormones and surgery to suit them better, it just wouldn't be as big of a deal.
