the question is: am i masochistic enough to seriously consider learning assembly to make a gameboy game

hey i wanna learn a functional language. what should i pick!

this linux boy is tired of waiting for windows to do its big chunky update

yeah i'm a terf:

TERF-Exclusionary Radical Friend

just one week left of uni and then.... graduation... finally..

hmm i don't think i'm getting push notifications from amaroq

Ok here's my Mastodon game idea!

Somewhat sandboxy where you can make a village and home in an open world but each village would correspond to an instance. And if you go to the villages you can see NPCs saying things, from the public timelines!

hmmmmm i'm thinking a lot about ideas for a game that hooks into mastodon now

wondering what percentage of all toots are just "test! is federation working yet! test!"

as soon as i graduate i'm gonna hang out w all u fun ppl on mastodon. but now? gotta write a lot of java

Hey is there a way to check out an instance's public local timeline without signing up?

but right now theres this vested interest in asshollery and a very steep learning cliff, etc etc, which makes learning to code this arduous weeding-out thing, when it should (and can) be easy and freeing

this also leads to a more democratic software thing, where the time between finding a thing to do, picking up a language, and participating in the thing is O(<3-6 months)
